International Trade & Category Manager
In this exciting role you are responsible for the sales- and (trade)marketing activities of the Boxby brand, which is sold as an A-brand for natural dog snacks through wholesalers to pet shops, garden centers and special internet chains.
The direct customers are a select group of partners (wholesalers) in the various European countries who are visited by regional account managers. You keep in close contact with these partners and account managers as well to understand what is going on on the shop floor in (pet)retail. You are also responsible for the sales activities towards a number of smaller partners.
You will help develop new products for the Mr. Goodlad and Miss Purfect-brands which are sold through supermarkets and discounters. The emphasis here is on NPD, developing a rolling program of new products across both the dog- and cat-category.
You will report to the Sales Director.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare, implement and monitor annual account & (trade)marketing-plans for existing and new customers, which include the following elements:
o Improving the position of the Boxby brand in the pet shop channel
o Optimize category plans and (instore) brand presentation
o Realize activation & promotion plans to support partners increasing their sales
o Negotiate annual price agreements and other conditions
o Supporting the regional account managers in developing their key customers
· Full P&L-responsibility for the Boxby-brand; achieving revenue & margin KPIs, incl. responsibility for innovation, communication and marketing for the Boxby-brand.
· Supporting the development of NPD for the Mr. Goodlad and Miss Purfect brands; often working in multidisciplinary teams, giving direction and monitoring progress.
· Translate portfolio, brand and pricing strategy into operational plans.
· Manage (trade-)marketing activities, incl. brand activation, product & packaging activities, POS-material development, website management, social media activation plans and organization of trade fairs, etc.

· Highly developed analytical skills & keen on details
· Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably with a master’s degree
· At least 4 years relevant experience in a sales or (trade)marketing position within the FMCG-sector, preferably with (pet) food or comparable products
· A passion for brands and for pets, affinity with the range
· Good knowledge of trade marketing, POS-marketing, online marketing and preferably social media
· Excellent command of the Dutch & English language, both verbally and in writing.
